“It’s been a pretty cool day. I find these days full of track activity really fun, even though they’re so busy – I haven’t been out of my race suit all day, we’ve just been driving which is fun. It’s been really solid from us from the beginning. Practice one was good, but then to top practice two and get a pole position was awesome. Another one-two for the team again, I’m pretty chuffed with that. I tried to get a good start in the race, and as soon as I took off I saw Anton right next to me, then we drove into turn one together, but I tried to pressure him into turn three and I snuck through. From there, I tried to manage the race as best as I could, and it was great that Will (Brown) could get into second and for us to run to the end. I had a bit of pace at the end to push for the fastest lap which we got. It was the first race of the weekend and I had no idea what to expect, but for us to run through the middle stint smoothly and run home with the win was awesome.”

“To start the year like we have is fantastic. Broc’s bloody fast and it’s been a great start for the whole team. I got off the line really good and I was able to jump into third position. After a couple of laps, I managed to get past Anton and sort of maintain position from there. I could tell Broc was fast and I knew he was going to get going when he wanted to, but overall it was a really good race for us. I knew if Broc saw me coming, he was going to go faster as well, so it was one of those things, but I thought it was great to have both Triple Eight cars out in front and be able to get a one-two. It’s been really good fun with this team. I started racing in go karts to have fun, and I want to continue that every time I come to the track, and a big part of that is having a great team and a great teammate. It’s been a fantastic start to the year and I’m enjoying everything.”
