BRYCE FULLWOOD LEAVES WAU FOR BJR

Walkinshaw Andretti United has announced that the Team and Bryce Fullwood will part ways at the conclusion of the 2021 Supercars Championship.

Fullwood joined the Team for the 2020 Supercars Championship, after winning the 2019 Super2 Championship.

His journey with the Team to date was highlighted by a podium finish in Race 25 at The Bend, his rookie year.

The entire Walkinshaw Andretti United team wish Bryce all the best with the next chapter of his career, and look forward to racing against him in 2022, but for now, remain focussed on finishing the 2021 season as strongly as possible together.

BRYCE FULLWOOD

“Thank you to everyone at Walkinshaw Andretti United, I’ve loved these last two seasons, and am looking forward to new opportunities in 2022.

“There are some fantastic people in this team who have really helped me who I can’t thank enough, and I’ll never forget my first Supercars podium finish.

“We’ve still got five rounds to focus on first though, including Bathurst, so I’m really looking forward to working on finishing on a high, before the next chapter.”

RYAN WALKINSHAW

“Bryce has been a pleasure to work with over the last two seasons, and we all thank him for his contributions to the Team. Above all else, he is a great person and has been a fantastic team member, and we all wish him all the best in the next chapter of his career.

“We are fully committed to finishing the year strongly with Bryce, so I look forward to seeing that unfold in the final five rounds of the year.”

MICHAEL ANDRETTI

“We all want to thank Bryce for the last two seasons, and wish him all the best for the future, he’s been a great team member, and has worked well with everyone at Walkinshaw Andretti United.

“We look forward to racing against him in 2022, but first and foremost, we will be working together to finish the year as well as possible.”

ZAK BROWN

“Bryce has been great to work with these last two seasons, and we thank him for what he has done for Walkinshaw Andretti United.

“There is still a lot to play out in 2021, so we will all be working to finish the year on a high.”

BRUCE STEWART

“Bryce has been a fantastic part of our team, but above that, a wonderful person in general. We have seen him grow and develop in his two years with us, and his podium finish in his rookie year is something none of us will forget. We will miss having that smiling face around the garage.

“He’s always been a pleasure to work with, so from all of us in the team, we wish Bryce, and the entire Fullwood family well, and thank them for everything they have done.”

Brad Jones Racing is excited to announce that Bryce Fullwood is locked in for the 2022 Supercars season. 
 
23-year-old Fullwood made his Supercars debut in 2018 and has started 55 championship races, including a podium finish at Tailem Bend in 2020 and four top ten finishes. 
 
The newest BJR recruit is excited to join the team and build on these results, “Brad has always been a big supporter of mine right the way back to go kart days and I’m stoked to be able to race with Brad and the team at BJR,” Fulwood said.  

“I love the way the team goes about their business; they’re all hardcore racing people with a hell of a lot of passion for what they do and I’m looking forward to getting stuck in to it with them.

“I’m very thankful for the opportunity and looking forward to a new chapter for me moving forwards.

“The future is looking exciting for the team and I’m super happy to be a part of it”. 

Team Owner Brad Jones can’t wait to get started with the young gun, “It’s a very exciting time for the team with Bryce coming on board. He’s shown some strong potential and is still in his early days of his Supercar career, so I feel like with the right guidance he’ll be a strong podium contender in the future.
 
“Bryce is very personable, and I feel like he’ll fit in well with the team and our partners. We’ve got a few changes happening as we transition in 2022 and I’m looking forward to what’s ahead”. 
 
BJR welcomes Fullwood to the family and looks forward to the year ahead.
